What is Gimli Model Fest?

Gimli Model Fest is an R/C hobby showcase. This annual multi day event features  radio control (R/C) classic, sport, jet, and scale model R/C airplanes – over 120 models flew last year. Some are rare; some are special only to their owners, some are quarter size replicas of actual aircraft that carry a historical theme.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Gimli Kiwanis Club sets up a concession stand that offers delicious burgers, hot dogs, perogies and those famous mini donuts, so grab some lunch on and enjoy the flying.

But don't forget to be back for the Sunday afternoon air show. The air show features jets with miniature turbine jet engines, warbirds, aerobatics, R/C combat, kid's candy drop and much much more in the 3 hours of non stop R/C entertainment.
